tuesday focus on homes

Eight kids today. We discussed various types of homes, and different countries and climates. The kids chose one, and them they each made a large accordian style, shape book in that home style. They created landscaping, and people, and animals from paper and added it to their homes. We spent the full two hours, with most kids not finishing completely. Fun project.

'what do you want to be when you grow up' puppets

Here's Tuesday's class of 8 working on puppets. The theme was decided by the kids, and they chose to make puppets that reflected what they wanted to be when they grew up. We'll finish the puppets next week, and do an inclass puppet show.

Thursday

Another holiday week, so we had a mix of Tuesday and Thursday kids for a total of 9 kids. We made little people Flat Pack Toy Design. First the kids made themselves, then some kids made one of their parents, or another person. One kid made a squirrel and the other a rabbit. It was a good lesson, since they learned to build 3-d objects.
