
I forgot my camera today, for class, so here's a photo of what I made from
red clay that air dries. I told the kids about the
Kumeyaay indians (many already knew of them) and we talked about clay and the types of vessels the indians made. I showed them how to make a pinch pot and a coil pot. After they made one of those, I encouraged them to make an animal from the clay. They made rabbits, mice, angels, turtles, a dog, a dragon and tinkerbell. Eleven kids today.
