Our papier mache, from last week, wasn't dry yet, so we had to quickly think of what to do. As you can see, above, it was a beautiful day, and the kids had plenty of energy!
So, we took a short walk to the Escondido History Center, right in Grape Day Park.
Wendy Barker, Executive Director was kind enough to give the kids a tour of this restored farm house built in 1890.
The house was decorated for Christmas.
Once we got back, after a stop on the tractor, we drew and painted cloth.
Stay tuned next week to see if these become sachets or gift bags or stuffed ornaments.
Nineteen kids!
Here are their projects, all finished. |
Jonathan came to visit! the photo on the left is him now, at 16 (with his sister, who is in Mundo Lindo now) and the photo on the right is Jonathan in 2007.
